Worksheetcloud launches free live online lessons for grades 3 to 7, offering learners up to three live-streamed online lessons per day from Thursday 2 April, during the national lockdown as per President Cyril Ramaphosa’s orders on March 26th. Subjects covered initially will be Mathematics, English and Natural Science, with more grades and subjects added over time. We don’t want our little one’s brains turning into mush just because school are closed due to the Corona Virus, so it’s important to keep them reading and learning.
How can parents join live lessons?
To join a live lesson, parents https://www.worksheetcloud.com/live/ need to browse the available online classrooms, and choose their child’s grade. A schedule for the grade will be available, showing the times and days for each lesson. Simply join the class from your computer, tablet or cellphone by visiting www.worksheetcloud.com/live and your learner is all set!
After each lesson, downloadable resources like worksheets and tests will be available for the learner to complete before the next lesson. Should the lesson be missed for any reason, each lesson will be available to access at any time afterwards.
Worksheetcloud has sourced highly-qualified and experienced South African teachers for our online live-streamed classes, ensuring your child has access to quality teaching during the national lockdown.
WorksheetCloud is rallying behind South African parents and children during this time of global crisis. That’s why we’ve developed and funded this online learning initiative. We hope it helps your child and gives you (as a parent) some peace-of-mind.
Who is Worksheetcloud?
WorksheetCloud is an online app that lets your child practice and study for class tests and school exams. We’ve now launched WorksheetCloud Live Lessons – the new free online classroom service. We’re a dedicated team of teachers, designers, developers and educational strategists who have a passion for helping South African families through the stress that is often associated with tests and exams.
Our mission is to encourage the development of happy families by empowering parents to assist children to reach their full learning potential and gain a feeling of success.
Why is WorksheetCloud giving free online lessons?
Just like you, we’re also parents. Nobody expected this global COVID-19 pandemic and the reality is that everyone has been thrown into disarray.
We believe that your child should roll with the punches and continue their learning. That’s why we decided to launch our free live-streamed lessons. We are making our virtual classrooms freely accessible to all South African learners who have an internet-enabled device.
And, we are not making any money from this. We refuse to take financial advantage of a pandemic. We’re funding this live lesson project with our own money and a contribution from the MySchool Programme.
MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet is one of South Africa’s biggest fundraising programmes and raises over R4 million every month to help over 8,000 schools, charities and animal welfare organisations. The programme allows you to make a difference, just by shopping.
